सूरज का गाँव -

धूप का सैलाब आया 

पानी का बाँध था उसका 

डूब गया सूरज का गाँव 

नीली हो गयी मिट्टी 

सितारों की लाशें हर तरफ़ 

कोने में मेरा एक ख्वाब ज़िंदा था 

वो चाँद का इंतज़ार कर रहा था

મારું આ ગીત ચંદ્રકાંત બક્ષીની વિખ્યાત નવલકથા " પેરેલિસિસ" પરથી ટેલિવિઝન ફિલ્મ બની હતી એમાં આરતી મુકરજીએ ગાયું હતું ઉદય મજમુદારનું અદભૂત સ્વરનિયોજન આજે પણ એટલું જ તાજું લાગે છે.ચંદ્રકાંત બક્ષીનો આગ્રહ હતો જે આ ટેલિફિલ્મના બધા જ ગીતો મારે જ લખવા આ ગીત સુજાતા મહેતા ઉપર ચિત્રાંકિત થયું હતું મુખ્ય ભૂમિકામાં ઉપેન્દ્ર…

એક હાસ્ય રચના.



છે સવાર અને રહેલું છાપું  હાથમાં ,

રાહ જોવાતી ગરમ ચા ની  સાથમાં.

ઝમઝમ થતી તેલની પેણી   અહી'

સાથમાંછે ગરમ લોચાસુગંધ નાકમાં.



તેજ તીખા કંઈ પ્રશ્નો પણ  ઉકેલું છું,

જે પત્ની પૂછતી -ગૂંચવતી  વાતમાં.

દેશની આ સમસ્યાઓ નું શું  કરું?

એમ કંઈ થોડી…

ડિસેમ્બર મહિનાના બીજા બુધવારે જ મેં મારી દિવ્યભાસ્કરની કોલમમાં મદનમોહન માલવિયાના જીવનનો એક પ્રસંગ લખ્યો હતો અને અંતમાં મુનીર નિયાઝીની કવિતા " હંમેશા મોડો પડું છું હું " મૂકી હતી. મને એ વાતનો અત્યંત આનંદ છે કે ડિસેમ્બરના ચોથા બુધવારે પંડિત મદન મોહન માલવિયાજી ને " ભારત રત્ન "તરીકે સન્માનિત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે અહીં ફરી એકવાર મારા એ લેખનો અંશ અહીં મૂક્યો છે.…

અહમ્

કોઈને પાડોશી ,તો કોઈને ગામ ની સમજુ ડોશી,

કોઈને મજબૂરી તો કોઈને સાલ્લી કિસ્મત નડે છે,

સાચું ! ના ખરેખર તો સૌને પોતાનો અહમ્ નડે છે .

બે પ્રેમીઓ ના ઘરની આનાકાની જોઈ છે ક્યારેય?,

એ કે’ છે કે એમને એમનો સમાજ નડે છે,

પણ ખરેખર તો ઘરવાળાઓ ને એમનો અહમ્ નડે છે .

બાપાની શિખામણો…

કેટલાક...

ભૂલકા પડ્યા હતા મૃત,

કેટલાક ધડ વિહોણા હાથ,

કેટલાક માથા વિહોણા ધડ..

લોહીથી લથપથ લાશો,

આક્રંદ અને દબાયેલી ચીસો,

ઘભરાયેલા,દર્દભર્યા અને નિ:સહાય ચહેરાઓ,

અને પડ્યું હતું લોહીથી લથપથ ન્યુઝ પેપર.

અંદર હતી ખબર,

"કટ્ટરવાદિઓએ બાળી સેકડો ચિતા!"

"મુસ્લિમ આતંકવાદી સંગઠને લીધી જવાબદારી!"

મંદિરોમાં સભાઓ થઇ...

રાજકારણીઓની સળીઓ થઇ...

બાવાઓએ લોહી ઉશ્કેર્યું...

"આપણા લોકો શું કામ ચઢે બલી.

આપો જવાબ…

In different colours I exist,

I do have an identity,

But identified by many names.

I come from soil, water and air,

But sum up to be a living statue,

Moving from a land to another.

Going through several operations,

I am the constant process of life,

Every moment I am different.

I am the aura of my layout.
