દેવની દીધેલ એક દીકરી,

દેવની દીધેલ એક દીકરી,

ને ઘરની પાળેલ બીજી ગાય

પોતાનાંહોય તોયે પારકાં

જેવાં દોરો તેવાં જાય

દિકરી આવજે,,,,,…

વાયરા, આજે જરા હળવેથી વાજો,

ને જરા પાદરે થઈ મારે ઘેર આજો,

વ્હાલીને વળાવીને આંગણ સુનું છે,

હારે એની થોડી યાદો લઇ આવજો. ...જનક

ગુન્હો થઇ ગયો,ગુન્હો થઇ ગયો,

ક્યારો તુલસી નો બાળકી તણો જનમ્યો,

ને મમતા ની લાલસા માં ગુન્હો થઇ ગયો,



ફૂટ્યું બાળકી તણું બીજ કુદરત થાકી,

ને કુદરત થી પણ અજાણ્તાજ ગુન્હો થઇ ગયો,

ગુન્હો થઇ ગયો,ગુન્હો થઇ ગયો,



છાતી કેરું ધાવણ ના મળ્યું,

અહીં મળ્યું દૂધ ભરી સરિતા,

ના મુજ્હ નસીબ ધાવણ જનેતા,

દૂધ પીતી કરવા તે અવતારી જનેતા,

વાયરાની વાટુ જોતું કેટલી સદીઓથી ખોડાયેલું

હાથ જોડી મંદિર પર કરગરતું ધજા જેવું શું છે ?…
