The most notable thing about Time is that it is so purely relative. A large amount of reminiscence is, by common consent, conceded to the drowning man; and it is not past belief that one may review an entire courtship while removing one's gloves.
That is what Trysdale was doing, standing by a table in his bachelor apartments. On the table stood a singular-looking green plant in a red earthen jar. The plant was one of the species of cacti, and was provided with long, tentacular leaves…

ONE DOLLAR AND EIGHTY-SEVEN CENTS. THAT WAS ALL. AND SIXTY CENTS of it was in pennies. Pennies saved one and two at a time by bulldozing the grocer and the vegetable man and the butcher until one's cheeks burned with the silent imputation of parsimony that such close dealing implied. Three times Della counted it. One dollar and eighty-seven cents. And…

Remember the time when you first heard the news that you would have to wear spectacles? The reaction ranges from incredulity to plain horror. "What?? I'll have to wear specs?? I'll look so weird! What will people think??"

Samar Garg lost his peace after his beloved passed away.
Navya Sharma abandoned her peace in the hands of drugs.
Vandanadoesn'twant to let go off her peace, but destiny has other plans for her.
We are all looking for peace of mind. So are they. An adventure which began at The Ashram, in Rishikesh, becomes one of the most soul crunching journeys…

Rabindranath Tagore, who died in 1941 at the age of eighty, is a towering figure in the millennium-old literature of Bengal. Anyone who becomes familiar with this large and flourishing tradition will be impressed by the power of Tagore's presence in Bangladesh and in India. His poetry as well as his novels, short stories, and essays are very widely…

Good morning friends sharing a poem by Mei Yaochen - A chinese poet born in year 1002... I just loved the simplicity, really fascinated by Chinese literature..
A Rural Home
The cock crows three times; the sky is almost light.
Someone's lined up bowls of rice, along with flasks of tea.
Anxiously, the peasants rush to start the ploughing early,
I pull aside the willow shutter and gaze at the morning stars.

Once Day and Night got into a fight
he said you are wrong ,she said I am right
Day said I am the brightest, night said I am the quietest
Night said I am the prettiest , day said I am the busiest
You always stalk me yelled day feeling very proud
night screamed , make no judgement I can be very loud.
suddenly the day and the night decided not to fight
they found a place where both are right, its called twilight..
while parting ways, night felt it was…

A story of a dying leaf...
A leaf fell on my lap
I promise , I said it wasn't a trap !
It was yellow and looked very lonely
I murmured forever I shall be with you only
The leaf replied do not worry about me
please look up at my tree.
I looked up and saw the empty branches
it seemed leaves have left in many tranches
The leaf beseeched can you please set me free?
I would like to be buried next to my tree..

My shadow
My shadow always scared me,
it always followed me...
I run aimlessly to leave him behind,
but always found him with me intertwined...
One day my shadow spoke to me
he said, I am you and you are me...
Now when I turn around and don't see him for a mile..
I know he is waiting for me , and I just…

A Raindrop ....
Some raindrops are silent, some are loud
open a raindrop, you'll find a part of cloud..
Some are humble , and some are proud
they wont tell you , but still miss that cloud..
I wont shed a tear it has vowed
it knows, soon will be with that cloud..

“JSK”- is the word now frequently used in India to greet someone, instead of “Hello”.
When one of my family friends Mr.K greeted me “JSK Sanket”, I replied immediately “ wassup!”... I thought it was a new, cool Indian greeting and I had to reciprocate by being equally cool. It took me 4-5 JSK greetings to really understand what JSK stood for. It simply meant “Jai Shree Krishna”.
I was amused, and little traumatised by learning that in…

Sharing few lines from my new piece of writing.. hope you like it :)
Inspiration is always within you..
We often look for inspiration outside to somehow change us, but the biggest role model for you is yourself. There is a difference between encouraging and inspiring. Inspiration is internal and an encouragement is external. This is quite visible in sports – spectators encourage, sportsman/woman gets inspired.
The famous…
