ઉદાસ સાંજે

ઉદાસી ધારણ કરીને

આવેલી આજની સાંજને

આસ્ફાલ્ટની સડકપર

ઉતારી દેવાનું મન થાય છે.

વગડાઉ કેડી પર કાંટાથી

એના પગ વિંધાયા પછી

એ વહેતા અહેસાસો સાથે

ક્યાંક ગબડતી

તો ક્યાંક ફસડાઈ પડતી

અટક્યા વગર ઢળી રહી છે.

એના પીડાના ઉંહકારા સાંભળવા

કોઈ પાસે સમય તો છે નહિ,

તો પછી આ સૂરજ શા માટે

રોકાય પળ બે પળ . . .
