Made in India
We all are ardent lover of literature, and we all are here to talk about, prose, poetry, literature. Daily we say something, about our life, good bad, sad, happy and share ourselves here. I thought when we exchange thousands of our views on some or the other subject, why can’t we talk about something which is very integral part of our existence. And I finally decided to share the age old verses with you all again, The Bhagavad Gita ,one of the most revered of Indian scriptures. Though it is much later than the Vedas, and does not constitute part of the revealed literature of the Hindus
The Gita is a classic summary of the core beliefs of Hinduism. It has had a significant influence far beyond Hinduism.
The Bhagavad Gita is technically part of Mahabharata, although it is known to be a later accretion to the saga, which stands on its own merits. It is a dialog between the Lord Krishna and the Arjuna, taking place in a timeless moment on the battlefield Kurukshetra before the climactic struggle between good and evil. It is said that the evil and good resides within us, everyday we face the same tug of war between good vs evil, these verses by Lord Krishna to Arjuna is a message to mankind, where Krishna delivers and oration to Arjuna to perform his duty to be the warrior that he is, and it is the, these teachings that are encapsulated in the Bhagavad Gita, the Song of the Lord.
