Meditation word comes with more weight as an image which it must not be. Meditation is nothing but diving into your own self. Feeling Strange? Yes, this was my feeling too before coming into this field that how a simple sitting can make us know about our OWN self? But it is very true and Meditation is, I guess, the only most secular thing in the world which can without taking ANY side, take you to the reality.

You don’t need to go to any Special place to practice Meditation. Just follow the given steps for Virgin Experience of your self!
1) If you can manage to Meditate Early in the Morning, it is BEST but if can’t, do it in the Evening. But Alone.
2) The room should be with Clean Air and no other person except you. The Ventilation also should be Healthy.
3) If you can manage to light a Candle, that is good else, it will be fine.
4) Wear Loose clothes.
5) Arrange a “Yoga-mat” and Sit on it with a Straight Spine with crossed legs. Sit comfortably, if in starting you can’t keep your spine Straight, that is not a problem, once you body becomes habituated, you will be in that posture.
6) Now close your eyes and Start meditating.
What Do I need to Do while Meditating?
Nothing.
Yes, you don’t need to anything while Meditating. Just watch the thoughts which flood into your mind once you close your eyes. You may feel disturbances and would like Stand up but don’t listen to your mind and keep on watching the thoughts. Our mind is one of the most complicated system in this world and every memory, it carries. Every Bad and Good experience is there in it. So whether you wish to remember it or not, once your body becomes idle, your mind starts doing its work and that is Thinking, thinking and thinking.
Meditation only happens once your mind comes to NO-MIND state and then comes the Nectar Experience. Unspeakable and Unexplainable Bliss will cover you then.
