Made in India
I came to the Amdavad National Book Fair yesterday for a quick round reserving my intent and time for more rounds over the weekend. But I didn't find the stalls of Sahitya Academy, Delhi, Lalit Kala Academy, Delhi and National Book Trust there? One of the organisers had told me during a discussion that NBT would be there? (I wonder if I just plain missed NBT's stall?)
These publishers were there last year and their presence made a lot of sense. One expected they would return with more and more of their publications, biopics-videos on authors and art portfolios.
Then a house like Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, which can claim hundreds of publications on Indian philosophy and wisdom to its credit does not seem to have been invited?
Anyone any comments?
