He joins the titular crowd-sourced superhero squad as an aspiring low-budget filmmaker who "volunteered to be a test subject for the robot experiments by Tadashi, but then stuck around to help the Tech Lab research team with their projects." Assuming he’s the funniest guy, this is a natural fit for Miller, although Fred is very, very Asian.

Yet one of the cast members revealed himself a month ago and barely anyone batted an eyelash.In an interview, comic actor T.J. Miller told the website BostInno, "I’m in Disney’s Big Hero 6, which will be their big release this Thanksgiving." No press release, or anything along those lines? Strange move, Disney. As a possible clue to the character he’s playing, Miller shared the news after being asked about voice acting roles, and followed it by saying, "It ranges, usually it’s the stoner-slacker, or you know, a guy who is very immature. Immature but confident."
