Made in India
1. When did u find yourself lost in the world of words?
It was during my final year of MCA course. I used to read Hindi novel (Nirmala) written by one of the greatest authors of all time- Munshi Prem chand which had inspired me to start writing my own book.
2. Do you believe that self-experience is important to keep your pen flowing? What motivates you to write and just keep writing?
Yes, it's very important and I strongly believe in it . When you have real life /Self experience, you know exactly how and what it feels like to be in a particular situation. So it helps you to give kick start to pen down your feelings and describe it in a better way.
I find my stories/real life experiences while taking a stroll on the streets or while travelling. Some stories are very interesting and it motivates me to keep writing about different people and their experiences. It also gives me an opportunity to explore my creativity & imagination.
3. For a writer, How important it is to be a good reader?
Ans:: It is of utmost importance to be a good reader for a writer. When you read more books you can understand the way of writing, it will also help you to understand how to use your words, sentences in order to keep your readers engaged and engrossed and they can relate to it, they should feel as if they are the main character of the story while they read your book.
4. Tell us something about your books.
My book "Unknowingl I loved a call girl" is dedicated to those girls who doesn't wish to live such kind of life but due to inevitable circumstances they have to give in and live like that. Every girl dreams to live her life happily and wants to have her own family and respect in the society. She wants to be independent and to live life on her own terms and conditions. But, life is unexpected, you never know what's in store for you.
This story tells about a girl who was cheated by people at every stage of her life, but still she has hopes and prays to god, that one day she would find someone who will rescue her from all of this and she will be able to lead a good life.
5. Why do we need to sensationalise the topic of feminism? What is feminism for you?
In order to spread awareness amongst the women about their rights in the society.
Feminism for me is to respect women, giving them selfless love, care and support, treat them equally. I would help her to make her own identity and acheive her goals in life.
6. A message for young literature enthusiasts...
One advice for them, that please focus more on imagination and not only on writing because imagination helps you to write a great books. Read more books, be creative and create your own story which comes from your heart and mind.
