Here is a poem I though you might like:
I Will…
© Deborah L. Kelly
In the darkness, I will carry a light
to shine as a beacon for you
when you have lost your way.
In the midst of pain, when heart
is shattered in a million pieces,
I will pick up each fragment and
knit it back together for you
with the tender threads of love.
In the midst of tremulous seas
I will be your liferaft,
and will attend you with
angels by my side.
In the depth of your tears,
I will be your prayer unto heaven,
so that you may walk once again
with head held high.
I will be your sky so that you
may hang every star of your inner
being upon the velvet night.
It will be alright.
I will be the smile for your laughter,
the dream that comes after the storm.
I will keep you warm, wrapped in a blanket
of light, beauty and sun;
never again to come undone.
Scars upon your soul will fade into
the distant past, you will be free
at last to live an eternity in praise
of Love’s great blessings.
