1.When did u find yourself lost in the world of words?
From quite an early age, my world had been deeply affected by the 26 magical alphabets. They attracted me immensely and when I was in the 10th grade, I wrote a small book that was published by a local publication house in Kolkata. That, was perhaps the start.
2. Do you believe that self-experience is important to keep your pen flowing? What motivates you to write and just keep writing?
In a way, yes. The society has motivated me the most and has always presented me with delicious plots which I could build into a story by adding ingredients like fiction and truth.
3. For a writer, how important it is to be a good reader?
I was never a good reader initially. Not that I read a lot now, but certainly I do.
Reading will definitely impact your writing and enhance your story-telling and etching skills for sure.
4. What are your views on social media?
I shall keep it short.
It’s a blessing but can also prove to be a curse.
Depends on how, where, when and why it is being used.
5. Your views on Online Readership.
Do I need to tell you the importance of e-commerce sites for selling of books today? No! Right?
Similarly, the Planet knows how important digitalization of Literature is.
Online readership has seen a great peak in recent times and such sites are doing wonderfully by not just feeding wonderful reads to people but by giving amateurs a perfect platform to showcase their literally excellence to the world.
6. Tell us something about your book(s).
“Joys and Woes Are Woven Fine” has been a terrific journey altogether. To be honest with you, this is
not entirely a fictional story. The protagonist did exist in real and by stroke of luck, I managed interacting
with her. The story primarily encompasses all dark aspects of our society and challenges some of the common evils like Child abduction and trafficking, Child Molestation, Prostitution and the fast spreading disease – AIDS.
The story is not a story, it’s a hardcore reality. Besides, it’s also for the strong hearted people, and people, who prefer in coming out from their fancy world and like living in the truth. Sadly, the truth is always dark.
7. A message for budding literature enthusiasts...
Write, write more and write a little more. Believe in yourself, love rejections and always remember – We are born to write. Not everyone is blessed enough to tell stories and thus we should always keep doing so.
Keep struggling initially…. Success will have to embrace you finally.
